Wings Over Water Birding Festival
March 16 @ 8:00 am - March 18 @ 5:00 pm
The 16th Annual Wings Over Water Birding Festival celebrates the incredible variety of migratory birds that flock to the coastal waters of Drayton Harbor, Birch Bay and Semiahmoo Bay.
Wings Over Water Northwest Birding Festival celebrates the incredible variety of migratory birds that flock to this pristine coastal area. Birding is one of America’s fastest growing outdoor activities and Blaine, Semiahmoo,* and Birch Bay located on the Pacific Flyway as well as the beginning of the Cascade Loop of the Washington State Birding Trail, are among one of the country’s premier bird viewing areas where you can observe a large variety of birds close at hand.
Participants can experience guided birding trips to explore the abundance of bird species in the area or take a wildlife cruise around Drayton Harbor on the historic Plover Ferry. Take a birding photography workshop to learn from the experts how to capture the best wildlife images, and choose from a variety of other activities. (Some fees may apply – see detailed schedule for more information).
