Celebrate Independence Day at the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July in Blaine
Get ready for a star-spangled celebration!
Taking place all day in the heart of downtown Blaine, this community celebration is packed with activities for all ages—including a parade, car show, kid zone, live music, fireworks, and more.
Event Highlights Include:
- Pancake Breakfast at the Blaine Community Center – hosted by Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2 (BBBPRD2)
- Street Fair on H and 3rd Streets with over 100 vendors.
- Parade kicks off at noon, preceded by a special performance of the national anthem. Parade route is on Peace Portal Drive from Mitchell Ave. to downtown Blaine. (Sponsored by Blaine Chamber of Commerce)
- Red, White and Vrooom Car Show. Awards start at 2 p.m. Register online (button above) ahead of time. Day-of registration is also available.
- Kid Zone hosted by BBBPRD2, including dunk tank, mini golf (sponsored by Performance Physical Therapy) and foam parties - two foam canons blasting foam for 25 minutes every hour on the hour, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Beer Garden & Live Music
- Fireworks Spectacular – 10 p.m. over Semiahmoo Bay
This event is free to attend and offers something for everyone: whether you're starting the day with a plate of pancakes, enjoying the parade, dancing to live music, or enjoying the fireworks show under the stars.
Please Note:
Attendees should expect road closures in the downtown Blaine area throughout the day. Plan ahead for parking and access.
Road Closure Information:
Peace Portal Drive from Mitchell Ave. to Marine Drive roundabout will be closed for the parade from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Peace Portal from Cherry Street to Marine Drive roundabout will remain closed until 7:30 p.m.
