
Celebrate Independence Day at WECU’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July in Blaine
Get ready for a star-spangled celebration! WECU’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July is back for 2025!
Taking place all day in the heart of downtown Blaine, this community celebration is packed with activities for all ages—including a parade, car show, kid zone, live music, fireworks, and more.
Event Highlights Include:
- Pancake Breakfast (8 a.m.–11 a.m.) at the Blaine Community Center – hosted by Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2 (BBBPRD2)
- Street Fair begins at 10 a.m. on H and 3rd Streets with over 100 vendors.
- Parade kicks off at noon, preceded by a special performance of the national anthem by Grace Machado at 11:45 a.m.
- Red, White and Vrooom Car Show with judging starting at 11 a.m., and winners announced at 1 p.m.
- Kid Zone (1 p.m.–5 p.m.) – featuring a DJ, dunk tank, and lawn games, hosted by BBBPRD2
- Beer Garden & Live Music (1 p.m.– 5 p.m.) located next to and hosted by Bordertown Pizza
- Shannanagins
- Queen’s Bluegrass

- Fireworks Spectacular – 10:30 p.m. over Semiahmoo Bay
This event is free to attend and offers something for everyone: whether you're starting the day with a plate of pancakes, enjoying the parade, dancing to live music, or enjoying the fireworks show under the stars.

Attendees should expect road closures in the downtown Blaine area throughout the day. Plan ahead for parking and access.
