WSDOT SURVEY

The Washington State Department of Transportation has opened up an opportunity for communities to submit their transportation project ideas for the Sandy Williams Connecting Communities Program.

This is a chance for our corner of Washington to receive funding for much-needed transportation improvements, such as adding separate bike/ped access across the bridges that connect Blaine and Birch Bay.

Our Blaine - Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 Commissioner, Sheli Moore, has already submitted her response to this opportunity. We encourage everyone to take inspiration from her ideas or prepare stories regarding challenges you have faced on Blaine Rd. or our bridges, or reasons for your reluctance to walk or bike this route.

Let's work together to improve our community's transportation infrastructure.

Click the links below to read the reason why Commissioner Moore believes that bike/ped access needs to be address on our bridges and Washington State Route 548.
